The traditional aviation brokerage model is built on a foundation of misaligned incentives. Most brokers represent inventory first and the client second. If a broker is paid only when a transaction closes, their primary motivation is the velocity of the deal, not the integrity of the decision.
Worse is the "Double-Ending" standard, where a single firm represents both buyer and seller, or pushes an in-house listing to collect a higher spread. This isn't advisory; it's sales.
AERIAN was built on a different premise: Independence is the only durable form of protection. We do not sell aircraft. We design the decisions around them. By operating independent of inventory and utilization commissions, our responsibility remains solely with the principal. We are the only people in the room whose fee is not tied to you saying "Yes" to a bad deal.
